Edwards, Letterman Talk O’Reilly

By SteveK

Presidential hopeful John Edwards was a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman last night, and the pair bonded over their mutual disdain for FNC’s Bill O’Reilly. Letterman asked Edwards about his “feud” with O’Reilly over the homeless veterans argument. Letterman said, “(O’Reilly is) a marvelous communicator, but he doesn’t really care much about telling the truth.” Edwards added, “What he says is crap,” to cheers from the crowd.

Elsewhere in late night: David Gregory was the latest in the trend of NBC News personalities to appear on NBC’s late night shows. On The Tonight Show, Gregory talked about his experience covering President Bush as well as the 2008 Presidential race, joking, “Those of us in the media have done such a great job of accurately predicting how this thing has gone so far. So I’m going to go really far out on a limb here and say, ‘Who knows?'”
