‘Ed Show,’ ‘Early Today’ Get New Sets

MSNBC and NBC News have quietly started using new sets for “The Ed Show” and “Early Today.” Newscast Studio noticed the changes, which include a large rear projection screen, bookcases and a wall of monitors.

As we wrote back in December, 2009, “The Ed Show” left MSNBC’s main studio and instead moved to a “news nook” because host Ed Schultz was more comfortable in the small studio:

Schultz regularly broadcasts his show from Minneapolis with a similar setup and the network felt Schultz, who also hosts a daily radio show, seemed more comfortable in that type of an arrangement.

The new studio is definitely no nook, as the above photo confirms,
