Before moving to national TV, Schultz hosted a progressive radio talk show that was broadcast from KFGO in Fargo. At its height in 2005, it was syndicated on more than 100 radio stations, as well as on satellite radio. In 2014, the radio show evolved into a webcast.

Schultz was most recently a host on RT America.

In a 2011 interview, Schultz told us how he got his start in broadcasting: “In college, I had an opportunity to do a little sports show in Moorehead, Minnesota. KQWB. 1550 on the a.m. dial. That was my first shot.”
