CNN reporter Ed Lavandera was in Jacksonville, North Carolina this morning to cover the press conference for the murdered pregnant marine. When CNN and Fox News Channel took the live presser (MSNBC did not cut away from political coverage), they found a slight delay at the podium. CNN went to Lavandera to kill some time, and FNC, who must not have had a reporter at the scene, cut to a wide shot, while Jon Scott spoke. The wide shot, however, gave a perfect side view of the live Lavandera report as it went out to CNN. Below are screengrabs from the same time on each channel.
