Dragging More 25-54 Demo Viewers To Cable News: Unrealistic?

I think Brad Adgate‘s remarks in yesterday’s Los Angeles Times story about CNN are quite interesting.

Adgate, a former CNN sales researcher who now directs research at Horizon Media, says: “To expect CNN to suddenly boost ratings and get a younger median age I don’t think is realistic. I think probably their best hope is leveraging their brand name to other platforms.”

Jon Klein disagrees, according to the story. “You can’t bite the entire enchilada at once,” Klein says. “You’ve got to nibble away at it, and we’re making great headway…”
