CBS News released this statement at 7:54am: “Kimberly Dozier is now less heavily sedated than she has been since the attack on Monday (29). Today (1), she began communicating with her family by writing questions on sheets of paper (she continues to be assisted by a breathing tube and a ventilator). Her first question was, ‘What [happened to the] crew?’ Her family and doctors agreed, if she asked, that she should be told what happened — that Paul Douglas and James Brolan died in the attack — and they did so. Kimberly remains in critical but stable condition at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center in Germany.”
