Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump said Monday night he would consider boycotting CNN’s Dec. 15 GOP debate in Las Vegas unless the network makes a charitable donation of 5 million dollars.
“I won’t do the debate unless they pay me $5 million, all of which money goes to the Wounded Warriors or to vets,” Trump said at a rally in Macon, Georgia, USA Today reports.
Trump, who told supporters CNN “doesn’t treat me properly,” noted that the last Republican debate set a ratings record for the network. In September, Trump wrote to CNN worldwide president Jeff Zucker asking that all proceeds from the first CNN debate go to veterans’ charities.
