Donald Trump: ‘Some Of the Political Media Really Is Very Dishonest’

By Brian Flood

Presidential candidate Donald Trump continued to make the media rounds this morning with an appearance on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. Despite popping up on essentially every talk show imaginable since announcing his candidacy, Trump told Mika Brzezinski that he isn’t a fan of the political media.

“I’m used to dealing with the financial media and I get along with them very well, some of the political media really is very dishonest. They don’t want to print the truth, they don’t want to say what you said, they don’t want to say what you mean. They know what you said, they know what you mean, and they put it in totally different words. It’s like you didn’t say it and it’s incredible to me,” Trump said. “So, I’m very much more careful when I’m dealing with certain people and, frankly, certain people you don’t want to deal with.”

Trump is clearly polarizing to voters, but he’s also causing fellow newsers to disagree. Univision’s Maria Elena Salinas appeared on CNN’s Reliable Sources and said she doesn’t know if she even wants to interview Trump, saying “it would be a very predictable interview.”

Salinas went on to say, “the interviews that I have seen with him, some of the answers just don’t make any sense.”

Meanwhile, her Univision nightly evening news co-host Jorge Ramos recently sent Trump a hand-written letter requesting an interview. So, will the GOP hopeful cause a divide among the Univision anchors? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
