Dobbs’ Staffers Tell Reporters “What They Can & Cannot Put In Their Scripts”

In a message to TVNewser, a current CNN staffers adds to The Nation’s article about Lou Dobbs‘ peculiar journalism standards:

“I can tell you without reservation that Lou Dobbs and his producers tell the coorespondents for his show what they can and cannot put into their scripts. And they cannot have, in any form, elements in a package that in any way puts undocumented immigrants in a favorable light. He once killed a package about a Border Patrol team whose job it was to rescue immigrants who were dying in the desert, because it made the victims too sympathetic. Both Jim Walton and Jon Klein are huge Lou Dobbs fans… So don’t expect any changes.”
