Since at least 2007, CBS News correspondent Steve Hartman has been featuring the story of Secret Santa, a Kansas City businessman who goes around handing out $100 bills to those who need it most.
This year’s installment ran last Friday on the CBS Evening News.
But the benevolent businessman (who likes to remain anonymous) isn’t exclusive to CBS, apparently. During this season of giving, he also traveled to Ferguson, MO, along with a crew from NBC affiliate KSHB. That story that was picked up on Nightly News last Friday, airing at the same time as Hartman’s story on CBS.
