Bridget Shanahan, a newscaster at ABC’s Champaign, Illinois affiliate, considers Diane Sawyer one of her heroes, and even has a photo of her on her desk.
Two weeks ago, Sawyer surprised Shanahan live on WCID as Shanahan was delivering the evening newscast. It was a part of Oprah’s “Harpo Hookups” series, and Sawyer invited her to NYC for a meet-and-greet.
Well, on Friday, Shanahan got her opportunity to visit Sawyer on the set of “ABC World News” to watch the evening news. Here’s a shot of the two at the anchor desk:
