Did Wolf Blitzer do a good job? Larry King thought so, and wasn’t afraid to repeatedly say it on the post-debate show. The re-assurances started to sound strange.
While interviewing guests, King repeatedly asked, “did you like the format?” Of course, they all said yes.
“I liked the give-and-take,” Elizabeth Edwards said. “I thought Wolf did a great job” — “He did,” King agreed — “and I thought it was really important.”
Later, responding to the same question, Joe Biden said “I thought Wolf did a real good job.” “He sure did,” King said.
Around 9:40pm, King told Blitzer directly: “First, I must compliment you, you did a great job tonight and the candidates we talked to all said so.” Here’s the transcript…
