David Muir Passes on Hillary Clinton Interview As He Continues to Cover Irma

Former New York senator, U.S. secretary of state, and 2016 democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has embarked on a media tour to promote her new memoir, What Happened, which hits bookstores tomorrow morning.

“I am done with being a candidate,” she told CBS Sunday Morning host Jane Pauley in her first interview Sunday.

Clinton was supposed to be interviewed by ABC’s David Muir for a segment which would have aired on Tuesday’s World News Tonight. But, since Muir is continuing to report on Hurricane Irma, a source tells TVNewser he didn’t feel comfortable leaving the crisis to do the interview.

Clinton is also planning to go on the Today show Wednesday morning. Later that day she’ll appear on ABC’s The View (live) and CNN’s AC360. On Thursday, MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow will sit down with Clinton and on Friday PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff interviews Clinton.

For Clinton’s appearances outside TV news, here’s a list published by Mike Allen of Axios.
