David Bohrman Joins MSNBC for Politics Coverage

By Chris Ariens

Veteran TV news producer David Bohrman is back in the thick of it, and back at NBC.

TVNewser has learned Bohrman has signed on as a consultant for MSNBC’s 2016 campaign coverage. “He’s been there day and night working with producers, directors, graphic artists, and set design teams,” an insider tells us. Bohrman was most recently president of Current TV before it was sold to Al Jazeera America. Before that Bohrman spent a decade at CNN where he was svp of programming, D.C bureau chief and chief innovation officer. Remember the CNN Magic Wall? Bohrman spotted that in 2007.

It’s a return to NBC for Bohrman, where he worked with Lack (during Lack’s first run at NBC News) producing NBC News special news events from 1993-1997. He was also part MSNBC’s launch team. Bohrman spent the early part of his career at ABC News, where he was part of the launch team for Nightline.
