“Dateline NBC” was the most-watched show in primetime Friday drawing 7.97 million viewers.
The show also won the A25-54 and A18-49 demo in the 8-9pmET/PT time period. In fact, the show drew its best A18-49 rating in seven months.
ABC’s “20/20” won the 10pmET/PT time slot with 5.74 million total viewers. The CBS News special following the “The Hollywood Film Awards” didn’t do so well at 10pmET. The program drew 2.69 million total viewers. The HFAs are CBS’s answer to NBC’s telecast of the Golden Globes and ABC’s broadcast of the Academy Awards. In its first outing on CBS Friday, the HFAs averaged just 4.1 million viewers. Last year’s Oscar telecast, by comparison, was watched by 43 million viewers.
