Our paths have crossed in so many ways, in so many different countries and on board so many cargo planes — and they will again. I won’t try to sum up my feelings for Dan or his work in this space, but I will say this, as he might: fish gotta swim, and Rather’s gotta report the news. He will, in due time. And with that, another Rather era will begin, just as this one ends.”
