‘Daily Show’ Tells a Love Story: ‘The Five’s’ Greg Gutfeld and Dana Perino

By Jordan Chariton

“The Daily Show” correspondent Samantha Bee put on a one-woman show last night dedicated to the love story between two of Fox News’ “The Five” co-hosts: “young girl new to the bit city” Dana Perino and “rebelicious” Greg Gutfeld.

Confused about what makes “The Five” different than a panel show, Bee told host Jon Stewart the show is more than that:

“‘The Five’ is the storyboard of the human condition,” Bee said. “The truth about ‘The Five’ is that it’s a story as old as time…a story of love.”

Bee then played a montage of warm moments between Perino and Gutfeld, turning to the story’s other suitors for Dana: co-host Eric Bolling and “villain” Bob Beckel.

Bee concluded with uncontrollable anguish at the revelation that Gutfeld is married to another woman in real life (Perino is also married), but still “gallivanted around” while allowing “precious Dana” fall in love with him.

>Update: Apparently, the loving couple Bee depicted enjoyed the tale of their romance. Check out the gift she received today:
