Couric Interviews New BP Commission Chairs

Katie Couric will have an exclusive sit-down with Bob Graham and William Reilly, new co-chairs of President Obama’s National Commission on the BP Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill and Offshore Drilling, tonight on “CBS Evening News.”

This will be the first interview with the former-Senator and former-EPA chief since they were named to the post. Update: Though they have yet to be interviewed together, Bloomberg TV’s Peter Cook snagged the first interview with Graham late yesterday.

It’s something of a big media day for the administration. The president, as we mentioned, will be on Larry King’s show tonight from the White House — which is being taped this afternoon in the Diplomatic Reception Room — and Admiral Thad Allen appeared on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC morning shows earlier today. It’s also expected that White House energy and climate adviser Carol Browner is expected to make a few cable news appearances as well.
