Corey Lewandowski: ‘There’s Nothing That’s Going to Stop Me From Telling the Truth’

By Mark Joyella

Making his first appearance as a CNN political commentator, former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski said a non-disclosure agreement he signed with the Trump campaign will not affect his work for CNN. “There’s nothing that’s going to stop me from telling the truth,” he told CNN’s Erin Burnett.

Asked about the NDA, Lewandowski at first described the document as protecting private family matters of the Trumps–information that would not be relevant to the public. But Burnett read the text of a Trump campaign document obtained by CNN that she said “says something a little more specific than what you just said, Corey.”

The document prohibits campaign staffers from saying anything that would disparage Trump, his family, or his companies. While Lewandowski did not specifically confirm having signed such an agreement, he said “I’m a guy who’s going to call balls and strikes. I’m going to tell it like it is.”
