Cooper Takes the Out Bronze

By SteveK

He may be first in the A25-54 demo, but CNN anchor Anderson Cooper finished third in Out Magazine’s 2nd Annual Power 50. He dropped a spot from last year’s finish, when he also made the cover (sort of).

Cooper takes the bronze this year, behind Ellen DeGeneres and Congressman Barney Frank in second…who are both…out.

“Anywhere you flip the dial, he’s there: anchoring CNN’s nightly news and ratings-breaking election coverage, guest-hosting on Live With Regis and Kelly, and filing special reports for 60 Minutes,” says his description in the issue. “One lunch with Tom Ford launched rumors of a clothing line. He’s still cautiously neutral — and silent on his sex life — but his domination of the airwaves is undeniable.”
