By Chris Ariens

tvnewser logo_304x200Some staff announcements here at the ‘bistro. Jordan Chariton is leaving his post as TVNewser editor, and heading to TheWrap where he’ll be the New York media editor.

Meantime, we’re adding to two new faces to the site. Mark Joyella, who has been freelancing for us on TVSpy, will be joining Mediabistro full-time as co-editor of both TVSpy and TVNewser. Mark’s TV news experience has taken him from anchoring and reporting at local stations including WFTS in Tampa, WPLG in Miami, WNYW in New York and WFTV in Orlando. He’s also worked as a digital producer for CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront” and is a past TV editor at Mediaite. Mark joins us next week.

And you may have already seen Brian Flood‘s byline on the site. Brian joined us Monday as co-editor of TVNewser. With a deep background in sports, Brian has been writing most recently for Sports Illustrated and RotoExperts. Before that, he spent five years at the National Football League working in game operations. He’s also worked as a researcher at MLB Network, a segment producer at the NFL Network, and early in his career worked at CBS, first as a news producer for CBS affiliates and later as a writer for CBSSports.com.
