CNN’s Anderson Cooper was forced to defend the network’s continued employment of former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski, who The Washington Post reported was paid $20,000 by Trump in July. The Post also reported that while working for CNN, Lewandowski also continues to advise Trump.

In an appearance Wednesday night on CBS’ The Late Show, host Stephen Colbert Cooper about the ongoing controversy over CNN’s decision to hire former Lewandowski. “So you all are paying him, and Trump is paying him, but he’s on your show doing analysis for a man he still gets cash from?”
