CNN’s Las Vegas Debate Second Only to FNC/Google in Viewers

By Alex Weprin

Last night’s GOP primary debate on CNN was the second-highest rated debate this cycle, and the best for the cable news channel so far. The debate drew nearly two million more viewers than the CNN/Tea Party debate the channel hosted last month as well as 500,000 more adults 25-54.

The Fox News/Google debate last month drew approximately 500,000 more total viewers than last night’s debate, though it only had 50,000 more viewers in the demo.

As you will see in the full daily ratings grid, “AC360” at 10 PM took advantage of its lead-in, easily topping the cable news competition in both total and demo viewers.
