The Jake Tapper-hosted town hall, Stand Up: The Students of Stoneman Douglas Demand Action, was watched by nearly 3 million people on CNN last night, making it the most-watched show on cable news.

The town hall featured Sens. Bill Nelson (D) and Marco Rubio (R) of Florida; Rep. Ted Deutch (D-Fla.); NRA representative Dana Loesch, and Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel. An audience of nearly 7,000 people packed the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida to watch live. Several local TV stations in Florida also carried the town hall, giving access to viewers who may not have cable or satellite.

The event also gave CNN Digital its most-watched town hall ever with 1.9 million multi-platform live starts, with concurrent streams peaking at 350,000 at 10:45 p.m., during the segment with Loesch and Israel.
