CNN Up for 9 Prime Time Emmys

Networks like CNN often rack up news and documentary Emmy nominations. But this year, CNN has been nominated for 9 Primetime Emmys.

CNN earned its fourth consecutive nomination in the Outstanding Informational Series or Special category for Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown. CNN also garnered its first-ever nomination in the “Exceptional Merit” category for Documentary Filmmaking for The Hunting Ground.

United Shades of America with W. Kamau Bell, which is in its first season, for its first nomination. And the production team that created The Seventies is nominated for the third time.
