I am delighted to let you know that our own Deborah Turness received the prestigious Royal Television Society’s Judges’ Award this evening in London at their annual RTS Awards ceremony.

Deborah was honored for her remarkable body of work and for setting a high standard of journalism at ITV News, as well as for her appointment as the President of NBC News. The judges also recognized Deborah’s energy, competitiveness and popular news sense, all qualities that have quickly become the hallmark of her leadership of NBC News since joining us six months ago.

As was said in the introduction of Deborah, “from the very start, she was set for the top…and that’s where she got, winning awards and the admiration of her colleagues along the way.”

Please join me in congratulating Deborah on this very well-deserved honor, we will raise a glass in celebration upon her return.
