Ricky L. Blalock, an African American writer/producer for CNN, filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against the network.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Blalock argues he was denied opportunities that were given to white employees, such as on-the-job training for higher level positions.
Blalock, 51, filed a similar complaint with the EEOC in August. The AJC reports Blalock started as a freelance writer in 2010 before going full-time in 2012.
