CNN Rolls With The Denver Punches

By Chris Ariens

We were first to tell you about the expensive proposition facing the networks when Sen. Barack Obama’s campaign announced they would hold the final night of the DNC at a location different from the first three nights. Moving coverage from the Pepsi Center to Invesco Field and Mile High will mean moving truckloads of equipment and busloads of personnel. But the switch seems to be sitting just fine with CNN’s DC SVP David Bohrman. Bohrman tells the Denver Post he’s got a plan:

Its bus, equipped with four high-definition cameras, makes CNN’s switch relatively simple. “Wednesday night, we drive the bus over to Mile High. The other guys, by and large, are all set up in the Pepsi Center parking lot with their control rooms and transmission and staffs. They’re just going to be in the wrong parking lot on Thursday. It is really causing some anxiety.”
