CNN Preempts Paula Before Election Day

CNN is preempting Paula Zahn Now every night for the two weeks leading up to Election Day.

The network has scheduled a series of “groundbreaking” investigations called “Broken Government.” The one-hour specials start on Thursday, Oct. 19 at 7pm with a Jack Cafferty hour. The 8pm broadcasts begin on Monday, Oct. 21 with Ed Henry‘s special “The Do Nothing Congress.” Broken Government will air at 8pm every night of the week (except for a CNN Presents repeat on Wednesday).

Then the week of Oct. 30, “CNN will air special two-hour prime-time editions of The Situation Room” anchored by Zahn and Wolf Blitzer. Here’s the press release…
