CNN Is Cutting Down Its Live Programming Produced in London

CNN is making some changes to its London operation in an effort to consolidate CNN International.

The changes include cutting 90 minutes of CNNi programming that’s produced in London.  CNNi will simulcast CNN U.S. programming during that 90 minute time period, for the time being.

We’re being told that some of the London-based jobs will shift to Atlanta, but overall headcount will be unchanged.

It remains to be seen how many of the CNN staffers based in London will move to Atlanta with those jobs.

This news comes days after CNN was forced to lay off some staffers from its Medical unit.
