CNN Intl. To Host “Future Summit”

“CNN International is launching CNN Future Summit, a forum that brings together some of the best minds of our time in an interactive process to explore how innovation and technology will shape our lives in years to come,” the network announced today.

It’s a two-year program that hopes to stimulate “global discussion.” It will center around “four televised roundtable discussions to be held in Singapore, hosted by CNN anchor Michael Holmes. Each roundtable focuses on one area of technology that is shaping the future. A nominating committee of respected experts will select a panel of global leaders in a specific field to discuss the promises, challenges and controversies sparked by their innovations.”

The first summit will air on June 15 on CNNI; it’s unclear whether it will air on CNN/U.S. For more information check out this Web site…
