CNN International has announced it will not air a planned Thursday evening debate on the EU referendum after the murder of a British politician.
The debate, UK Decides: In or Out, was to have been moderated by Christiane Amanpour and Max Foster. The debate would have aired one week ahead of the vote that has divided the UK.
Out of respect for British politician Jo Cox, who died today after being attacked, @cnni's Brexit debate will not be airing tonight.

Campaigning on both sides of the referendum have been suspended, and the BBC has canceled this week’s broadcast of two political programs, Question Time and This Week.
According to witness accounts, the man who shot Cox, a Labour Party MP, three times and stabbed her as she lay on the ground shouted “Britain first.” Cox had campaigned for Britain to remain in the EU.
