Parts Unknown is CNN’s most-honored original series. In fact, the Bourdain-hosted program snagged CNN its first-ever Primetime Emmy win back in 2013.

Bourdain took his own life last June at the age of 61 while filming the 11th season in France.

According to Adweek’s Kelsey Sutton, CNN’s sibling network HBO leads the way with 137 Primetime Emmy nominations in 2019, lifted by the final season of Game of Thrones.

The award winners will be announced at the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards presentation on September 14th and 15th at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
