CNN.com: Having It Both Ways

Investor’s Business Daily has an update about CNN.com’s video plans. “CNN’s plan to offer free and for-pay services lets the company have it both ways. They get subscription fees and can tap into the growth of online ads,” the story says. “The lion’s share of the revenue will continue to come from ads,” said Michael Zimbalist, president of the OPA. “But publishers are still experimenting to strike the right balance between paid and free services.”
