On June 5, Robert Wussler, a former CBS News executive and one of the co-founders of CNN, died at age 73.

As executive producer of special events at CBS News, Wussler produced the coverage of every space launch, including Apollo 11. He would become the youngest network president in CBS history, taking over the broadcaster at age 39.

In 1980, Ted Turner recruited Wussler to help him launch CNN.
