CNN Beats CBS & ABC in 10pmET Hour

Breaking: On the first night of the DNC, CNN was the big winner of the cable networks (8-11pm Live +SD) drawing an average of 3.7M viewers. But CNN was able to take the momentum built in the 9pm hour (4.53M viewers), during which a tribute to Ted Kennedy aired, and beat two of its broadcast competitors, ABC and CBS in the 10pm hour.

At 10pmET CNN drew 4.26M Total Viewers while ABC drew 4.17M and CBS drew 3.46M. NBC was first of all networks with 4.71 milion Total Viewers.

Additionally, ABC gained 1.8 million viewers from its lead in “Samantha Who” while CBS lost 3 million viewers from its lead in “The New Adventures of Old Christine.”
