> “Wire services are reporting that CNN has been banned from reporting from Iran. But we also have to tell you that CNN has not been officially notified about this by the Iranian authorities,” CNN’s Zain Verjee said on Your World Today this afternoon.

> Reuters: Mohammad Hossein Khoshvaght, director of foreign media at Iran’s Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry, welcomed CNN’s apology. “But so far it’s not clear whether it was something pre-planned or a mistake,” he told state television. “Therefore, we will ban its activities (in Iran) for the time being.”
