CNN and MSNBC Get a Jump On ’08 Ratings Releases

By SteveK

Within the last week, we’ve received press releases from both CNN and MSNBC touting their great ’08s. But while 2008 is winding down, it’s not yet over.

December 28 is the final day of the December ratings month, so we’ll be writing end-of-year ratings posts somewhere around December 30. But for now, after the jump you can see CNN’s release about their “transformational year” in which they “outperformed all broadcast and cable networks on Election Night” and MSNBC’s release about “the fastest growing television network in all of television.” All great successes to be sure, in messages meant to be heard loud and clear before the holidays.

As for FNC — no early release from them, but the network is expected to win total day and prime time in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo for the 7th consecutive year.
