ABC’s Diane Sawyer interview with Bruce Jenner has earned a nomination for outstanding TV journalism as the GLAAD Media Awards have announced their nominees for the 27th annual awards ceremony.

The awards, which recognize and honor media for “fair, accurate and inclusive representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives” will be handed out in ceremonies in Los Angeles (April 2) and New York (May 14).

Cable news nominees include MSNBC’s Thomas Roberts, Melissa Harris-Perry, and Rachel Maddow.

CNN’s Anderson Cooper was nominated for his interview with Jim Obergefell, the lead plaintiff in the marriage equality case, who talked to Cooper the night the Supreme Court announced its historic ruling. “What a wonderful legacy for my husband,” he said.
