Note from Wald to CNBC Staff:

I want to share some exciting Business Day programming news with you. Effective immediately, we are expanding “Squawk on the Street” with Mark Haines and Erin Burnett to two hours, 9-11 AM, further leveraging the powerful “Squawk Box” brand.

Since premiering with Erin and Mark live from the New York Stock Exchange in 2005, the program, also featuring David Faber from CNBC Global Headquarters, has become appointment business television. We’ve seen tremendous audience growth. With segments such as “Run Down,” “Six in Sixty” and “Best of the Best,” “Squawk on the Street” delivers CNBC’s brand of in-depth coverage that is fast, accurate, actionable and unbiased. “Morning Call” will continue to air 11-Noon.

I also want you to know that Liz Claman has told us she will leave CNBC to explore other opportunities. I’m sure I’m speaking on behalf of everyone here when I thank Liz for her exceptional contributions over the past nine years. We wish her success in whatever she chooses to do next.
