CNBC’s Kayla Tausche Moves From Wall Street to Washington

CNBC is beefing up its Washington DC bureau as Kayla Tausche, co-anchor of CNBC’s Squawk Alley, takes her talents from Wall Street to the nation’s capitol.

“The past few days have shown that in the Trump era, much of the business of Washington is… business,” writes Nik Deogun, svp and editor and chief for CNBC Business News, in an email to staff.

Deogun says Tausche, who begins February 6, “will report on the intersection of government and business – from revamped regulations to trade deals – so that investors can be armed with better insight and information.

Tausche joined CNBC in 2011. In addition to anchoring Squawk Alley, she has also covered the banking industry, corporate finance and M&A. The University of North Carolina alum began her journalism career at the Associated Press. She’s worked London, Brussels, and New York.
