CNBC Premieres New 7pm Biz Program: Bill Griffeth Anchors “On The Money”

CNBC premiered its new 7pm business news show on Monday night, without any advance notice or promotion whatsoever. The hour-long live program called “On The Money” was anchored by Bill Griffeth.

For almost a month, CNBC had been airing “Hurricane Katrina: Crisis and Recovery” specials in the time slot, while preparing for a permanent business news show. (It replaced Conan O’Brien repeats, which replaced Capitol Report last year.) CNBC prez Mark Hoffman first announced plans for a 7pm biz program in May.

“Thank you for joining us On The Money tonight. We’re going to do this again tomorrow,” Griffeth said in his sign-off…
