Chuck Todd: ‘We Have Reached a New Level of Crazy in This White House, and It’s Difficult to Take It Anymore’

By A.J. Katz

Like many of his viewers, Chuck Todd has had just about enough.

NBC News’s political director, Meet the Press moderator and MTP Daily host gave a lengthy, impassioned, nearly 5-minute monologue yesterday on the 5 p.m. MSNBC show.

“We have reached a a new level of crazy in this White House, and it’s difficult to take it anymore,” he began. “Reality TV appearances, tabloid gossip, name-calling, vulgarities and a level of egomania few have ever seen in Washington … and that’s saying something.”

“It’s like we’re living inside a parody from three years ago,” Todd continued. “Consider, what would happen if Donald Trump became president? Omarosa would probably work in the West Wing. And then she’d leave to go on Big Brother to dish about administration secrets. Ha ha!’ Oh, wait. That actually happened on Big Brother Celebrity Edition, airing tonight.

“Folks, we’re not even surprised by this stuff anymore,” he said. Just think about what we’ve seen and endured over the last 13 months of this presidency.”

To hear Todd’s rather extraordinary laundry list of oddities that “we’ve seen and endured over these last 13 months,” watch below:
