“Christa is a top-notch executive who has great knowledge of journalism and of communication strategy, and that is a terrific combination,” added CBS News president David Rhodes. “As we grow audience across all distribution channels, it’s essential we have the right person to tell our story.”
“The momentum at CBS News is one of the great stories at the company right now,” said Gil Schwartz, chief communications officer for CBS Corp. “I can think of no better executive to advance this story to all our constituents than Christa.” Robinson will report to both Rhodes and Schwartz.
Before moving into media, Robinson worked as the Director of Communications for the Clinton White House’s Domestic Policy Council. She began her career in government affairs. Robinson starts Dec. 1.
