Fox News Channel has inked a new multi-year deal with “Fox News Sunday” anchor Chris Wallace.
Under the new deal, Wallace will continue to serve as the anchor of “Fox News Sunday,” which airs Sunday mornings on the Fox broadcast channel. He also often appears on other FNC programming to talk about politics and current events. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Chris is a consummate journalist who is renowned in the industry for his hard-hitting interviews,” said Fox News senior VP Michael Clemente in a statement. “We’re proud he is continuing that work at FOX News.”
“I am delighted to know where I’m going to be spending my Sunday mornings for the next few years–and to be part of an outstanding FOX News team covering the changing balance of power in Washington, the 2012 Presidential election, and beyond,” said Wallace in a statement.
Wallace joined FNC in 2003, and before that spent 14 years for ABC News where he reported and anchored for “Nightline” and “Primetime Live.” Before ABC he worked at NBC News, where he served as chief White House correspondent, and was also moderator of “Meet the Press” from 1987-1988.
At FNC Wallace has interviewed a veritable who’s who of newsmakers, including President Barack Obama and former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.
