Chris Matthews Responds To Heckler On-Air: ‘I’ll be right down there in a minute’

MSNBC “Hardball” host Chris Matthews is broadcasting his show live from Boston this afternoon.

With a live show in an outdoor setting, one of the perils is hecklers, and Matthews had one around 5:25 PM. It wasn’t clear what the person was saying, but Matthews stopped his interview with Rep. Ed Markey (D-MA) to address the heckler.

“Ok, this doesn’t make any sense. Look, I’ll be right down there in a minute, okay? I’ll let you talk, give me a minute,” Matthews said.

“Welcome to Boston, Chris, Democracy in action,” Markey replied.

Sure enough, after the commercial break, Matthews was down in the crowd with a microphone for the “Sideshow” segment. The first person he spoke to was a Republican, who expressed disappointment with Markey. It isn’t clear whether it was the same person who yelled out during the segment.
