Some of you have been asking about NBC News senior White House correspondent Chris Jansing who, having returned last week from a reporting trip to Africa with U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Samantha Power, is back on the job at the White House.
Jansing, who was called upon by Pres. Obama at his news conference today, traveled to Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
Jansing and other members of the trip are following the same protocols as Ambassador Power, which includes self-monitoring and reporting their temperatures twice a day for 21 days. Jansing, we’re told, is reporting her readings to the Washington, DC Department of Health. But because she did not come in contact with Ebola patients, there is no requirement for isolation or quarantine.
