Former NBC News “To Catch a Predator” correspondent Chris Hansen gets asked a lot when the next installment of the long-running investigative series will air. “Most of them don’t even know that I’m no longer with NBC News,” Hansen, who left NBC in 2013, told The Los Angeles Times.
The last “Predator” investigation aired in 2008, but Hansen hasn’t lost interest in the franchise–and he’s turning to Kickstarter to fund a new project, “Hansen vs. Predator.” Once the series is shot, it will likely debut online, and then be shopped to cable networks. “There is a pent-up demand from viewers for another investigation,” Hansen said. “And from a technology standpoint, the landscape has really changed since we did the last one.”
