CBS’s Kramer: Pulling TV Audience To Web

CBS Digital President Larry Kramer thinks big.

While sitting with Jon Friedman last week, “he ticked a list of brawny competitors — Yahoo, AOL, Google, MSN.”

“This is where we want to be – that league,” he said. “They have become huge by offering services such as Instant Messaging and email. We have to do the same thing around our CBS content to get a large audience.”

He continued: “We HAVE that audience – on television. Now we’re morphing our news coverage on to the Web. We have to build into (the audience’s) psyche that we’ll get the news to you faster and better than anyone else.” More…
