CBS News will expand its streaming service to include live newscasts on Sunday nights starting February 15. Jeff Glor, who anchors the Sunday edition of the “CBS Evening News,” will add additional duties anchoring a CBSN newscast at 7pmET, a network spokesperson tells TVNewser.
CBSN launched last November with fifteen hours of live, anchored newscasts on weekdays. In January, CBS News president David Rhodes told TVNewser he was very encouraged by the service’s strong viewership across all platforms. “I think we’re connecting with the audience we expected, (and) that’s a pretty significant audience.” At the time, CBSN had just reached a milestone–ranking first among news channels on the streaming service Roku.
